Dear Ted Harrison Families,

In anticipation of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, all students participated in important learning about Canada’s history with Indigenous Peoples. Please ask you child to share what they did and what they have learned.

Also, a reminder about some of the events happening around the city on Saturday, September 30 that we encourage you to attend if you are able:

1) Urban Society for Aboriginal Youth (USAY) is hosting an event called Remembering Our Children at Prince’s Island Park from 11-2

2) City of Calgary’s Orange Shirt Day at Fort Calgary runs from 10am-5pm. 

3) Siksika Health Services and the Calgary Hitmen are holding an Every Child Matters Traditional Powwow at the Saddledome. The doors open at 6:00pm. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item, an article of winter clothing or new ice skates. 

Online CBE Forms

If you have not completed the 2023-24 online forms, please do that as soon as possible. This is a requirement from Alberta Education. The forms are found in SchoolEngage which is one of the applications found in your MyCBE account. If you need any help accessing these forms, reach out to our main office for support.

Friday, September 29: No School (lieu day for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation)
Monday, October 9: No School (Thanksgiving Day)
